To show at Desert International Horse Park you will need an EventPass Lite account, which is free!
If you want priority verification or to enter multiple shows, you will need a paid EventPass subscription.
Download the app to create your account.
The EventPass app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
The app is available for both mobile and tablet devices.
Once you download the app and have an account you can start adding your horses.
Log In to your EventPass account.
USEF members can link their USEF account to EquiTrace. This allows you to import your horses directly from your USEF account.
You can also add horses directly by searching by USEF number. If you don’t have a USEF account, you can also add horses manually once your account is created.
Please edit imported horses from USEF to include a barn name on each horse’s profile to ensure documents can be verified.
Whether you have one horse or multiple horses on a vaccination record or health certificate, EventPass will verify every horse submitted and add it to their profile.
You must upload each Coggins individually for your horses and submit those for verification.
For FEI Passports please photograph the front cover page as well as the vaccination page and submit as one file.
Please wait until you get an email or app notification that your documents are verified before creating an EventPass.
EventPass uses cutting edge machine learning and AI to read the documents you upload, combined with our veterinary knowledge, we ensure your horses meet all show guidelines.
Your document can be verified within a few minutes depending on photo quality. If there is an issue our system will let you know how to fix any issues.
Maximum verification time for EventPass Lite accounts is 8 hours.
When all the documents have green ticks, you are ready to create your EventPass!
Once you’ve uploaded your documents, there’s no need to upload these again until they expire.
Select the show you’re competing at, add your horses and your arrival date. If the health declaration is not yet available to sign, you will receive a notification when this can be signed. Then you will have your first EventPass.
You can create an EventPass for one or multiple horses, and you can create multiple passes for multiple shows, making easy work of all your documents.

Per DIHP’s 2026 Biosecurity Protocols, all California-based horses must submit the following a minimum of 48 hours before arrival
Vaccination: Horses must be vaccinated against EHV-1/4 within 6 months.
Coggins: Optional but recommended
Health Declaration: Signed within 7 days of arrival.
Horses entering DIHP from outside California must provide the following a minimum of 48 hours before arrival:
Vaccination: Horses must be vaccinated against EHV-1/4 within 6 months.
Coggins: Negative Coggins within the prior 12 months.
Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI): Dated within 10 days for out-of-state horses or 14 days for international horses
Health Declaration: Signed within 7 days of arrival.

Ensure that you have the mobile app to record temperatures.
You can record your AM + PM temperatures easily for multiple horses.
If the show requires temperatures at any point, you will recieve notifications directly within the app to record temperatures.

To ensure you have your EventPass ready for Desert International Horse Park, please upload them in advance.
When your documents are uploaded and verified, you will only have to do this once, until they expire.
Please make sure that the photos you upload are clear and easy to read for our system to be as quick as possible to verify them!
Yes! We’d recommend adding all of your horses, so that you can get reminders when health documents are expiring for each horse.
If you have all your horses uploaded, you can then make an EventPass immediately for any horse, helpful if you have some last minute changes to your show schedule or you swap a horse.
You can add one or multiple horses to your EventPass, so you only need to scan one pass if you have multiple horses competing at World Equestrian Center.
EventPass will send you a reminder 14 days in advance of a health document expiring. You will get an email and an app notification.
This gives you time to make sure that you can book a Coggins Test or your horse vaccination.

We verify your documents to make sure your horse has the right biosecurity measures and meets the show’s requirements.

Document verification times vary depending on the quality of the image, and the amount of information supplied and how many horses are on each document uploaded. Our software can verify some documents within a few minutes, and others may take longer. You will receive a notification once approved or if there are any issues and how to resolve them.
