Role Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated account manager who brings great energy and enthusiasm to help support a customer-facing team. The role will focus on providing sales and support to customers within the specific area and working with several horse shows to help competitors manage their horse health. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the successful adoption of our software among equestrian professionals and enthusiasts.
Account Manager – Key Responsibilities
Sales Development
- Identify and engage with potential clients in your assigned territory, including horse show organizers, trainers, and riders, to introduce and promote our new platform.
- As the account manager, represent the company and brand within the specific territory.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features, benefits and how to use the platform.
- Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to closing, including negotiating contracts and handling pricing inquiries.
Customer Service
- Serve as the primary field-based point of contact for existing and prospective clients, addressing their inquiries and providing support.
- Assist clients with onboarding, troubleshooting, and optimizing their platform use to manage horse health.
- Resolve customer issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Collect and analyze user feedback to help refine and improve features and services.
Market Development
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the rated horse show community.
- Attend industry events, horse shows, and other relevant gatherings to promote the company, product and platform to generate leads.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market needs to effectively position our platform.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and territory performance in the company CRM.
- Collaborate with the team to share insights and contribute to developing marketing strategies and materials.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, equine studies, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of the rated horse show environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in an accessible manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software is required to ensure fluent communication across the team and the company CRM.
- Previous expeirence in a sales role as an account manager or similar is desired but not required.
